What exactly do politicians and policy makers mean when they refer to national security? To justify major government expenditures or dramatic policy initiatives, they rarely say more than that it is in the interest of U.S. national security. David Kilroy, Ph.D., Nova Southeastern University will present a historical analysis of the root of the concept in the U.S. and explore how the parameters of U.S. national security have evolved through the history of the Republic.
