The Heart of Desire at the Alvin Sherman Library

Valentine’s Day is for lovers. Hollywood tends to equate love and desire, but real-life love stories are so much richer, layered as they are with varying degrees of sex, commitment, connection, vulnerability, curiosity, humor, and unpredictability. Drs. Green and Flemons will share some insights regarding desire and love, drawing from 30 years of seeing couples in their clinical practice and 30 years of practice being a couple. They will explore what creates, builds, and sustains sexual attraction, desire, and intimacy in relationships over time.

Special Guests: Shelley Green, Ph.D., LMFT and Douglas G. Flemons, Ph.D., LMFT

Thursday, Feb. 13-  RSVP – lib.nova.edu/heart Deadline: Feb. 7

5:30 PM: Circle of Friends Reception, Room 2053

Members Complimentary, $20 for non-members

7:00 PM: Presentation, 2nd Floor, Cotilla Gallery

Florida regularly has been ground zero for election news during the 21st century. During elections in Florida, both individual and public health issues resonate strongly, because of the state’s demographics and history. Health care policy is certain to be a key issue in the upcoming election season.

To educate voters about a slate of core, national health law and public health law election issues, NSU Law will host national expert James G. Hodge, Jr., the Peter Kiewit Foundation Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University.
