Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing to Host Mental Health Forum
The Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing in conjunction with NAMI Broward will host a mental health community forum discussion to discuss the current state of mental health care in Broward county. The forum aims to foster discussion to identify risks and protective factors that affect mental health. We will explore solutions to recovery and resilience in substance dependence, homelessness, crime and mental illness across the lifespan.
Panelist include renowned community and academic leaders in mental health: Judge Lerner-Wren of the 17th Circuit Court, Scott Poland, Ed.D., Gayle Giese, Jose A. Rey, Pharm.D. and Sgt. Rafailovic.
