Veteran Stand Down Event Comes to NSU Campus Sept. 24

The United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED is bringing this year’s Broward County Veteran Stand Down event to Nova Southeastern University. The event is dedicated to connecting with government and nonprofit agencies to provide free services to military veterans. NSU’s Veterans access clinic will be among the contributors, offering free dental services to eligible veterans.

Among the other services that will be offered are employment opportunities, mental health screenings, dental services, legal services, and driver’s license reinstatement. Veteran Stand Down will be held Saturday, Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at NSU’s Carl DeSantis Building, 3300 S. University Drive, Davie, Fla.
